Frequently asked questions
Consulting 4.0 is our digital and contactless way to discuss, commission and complete projects. For this purpose we use various online solutions that are available to us. In addition to video conferences for getting to know each other and for voting, you can continue to keep in touch with your contact persons by e-mail and telephone. All documents are made available and exchanged electronically, on special project platforms. For this purpose the weyer gruppe has proven tools such as SharePoint and Teams. But we are also happy to use the tools of our customers.
My plant is unique and differs from others of its kind. How do you want to take that into account without having seen it?
You’re right. Almost every plant is unique. Nevertheless, plant documentation, e.g. in the form of descriptions and drawings, provides a large part of the required information. For everything that is not mentioned in the documentation, we need YOU! You can help us to understand your system and explain it to us. Here, too, it is conceivable for you to carry out inspections via video connection. Together, as a team, we can create the necessary documents.
I would like to meet my contact person first before I place an order. This will hardly be possible without contact.
It is true, a personal meeting is not possible without contact. We also prefer a presence appointment. Unfortunately, the Corona crisis demands cutbacks here. Nevertheless: Our company is technologically very well equipped and therefore every employee is able to conduct a video conference with you at short notice. So you can get to know each other – digitally and contactless.
The development of the current situation is also difficult for us to assess. Digitisation offers opportunities that we do not want to leave unused in a situation as it currently stands. In any case, the offer of digital, contactless project support will continue to exist alongside conventional consulting. Avoiding travel naturally also offers commercial advantages for both sides. Of course, there are also many services that cannot be reproduced exclusively in digital form. Here nothing will change in our processing.
My plant will have to be taken down soon. This requires an inspection. How do you make it contactless?
Here we look for individual solutions. Despite the possibility of video inspections, a plant inspection without an on-site appointment is always difficult and certainly only useful in individual cases. We will continue – under certain conditions – to accept your investment even in the current situation. Please refer to our internal guidelines as to which requirements must be met for such an inspection.
