Pipeline stress calculations

A system analysis is indispensable in process plant engineering for the professional construction of piping systems, and in many cases is even prescribed by law. The weyer group has many years of experience in the area of stress calculations for piping systems. Documented and legally compliant engineering ensures that organisational negligence concerning plant safety and environmental protection is ruled out in the planning phase. Modern software tools, such as the special pipe stress calculation program CAESAR II and various 3D design programs are available for this purpose. The advantages of a system analysis include lower investment and maintenance costs, safe operation of your system and the optimised design of the subsequent piping.

The basis for the requirements of stress calculation is provided by Directive 2014/68/EU on the “Provision of Pressure Equipment” from May 15, 2014, also known as the “Pressure Equipment Directive”. Annex I, Item 2.2. 2.2. “Design for adequate strength” deals with the topic here. The weyer group also uses the following standards and regulations when calculating stress for pipelines:
