[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If air pollution is to be expected from a new or planned installation to a relevant extent, the Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA Luft 2002 and amended TA Luft 2021)<\/a> require an immission forecast for air pollutants. A dispersion calculation is used to forecast the expected situation with air pollutants. The effects of air pollutants as humans, animals and plants as protected goods objects along with ecosystems can be assessed with the help of such a forecast.<\/p>\n

The immission forecast is submitted to the competent authority as one of the central expert opinions of the permit application. The air pollutants that the plants emit are considered part of the emission forecast, so that a legally certain statement can be made about the approvability of the plant.<\/p>\n

For this purpose, our team of experts calculates the expected immissions for air pollutants using the TA Luft-compliant reference models AUSTAL2000<\/a> (for TA Luft 2002) and AUSTAL (for the new TA Luft 2021). These are then tested on the basis of the immission values of TA Luft 2002 or 2021 or, if required, on the basis of other recognised assessment values. In addition, we use the AUSTAL2000N model to calculate the expected deposition of nitrogen and acid as the basis for the assessment as a part of the FFH compatibility test<\/a> (flora, fauna, habitat).[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n
