Reliability is often measured in the form of MTTF (Mean Time To Failure) or MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Availability” tab_id=”1742208538672-684bc962-6b32″][vc_column_text css=””]Availability is the measure of how often a system or product is in a functional condition. This depends on reliability and maintainability and is expressed as a percentage.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Maintainability” tab_id=”1742208538689-3def1902-e7fb”][vc_column_text css=””]This refers to the ease and speed with which a system or product can be maintained and repaired. The MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) is often used here.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][\/vc_tta_accordion][vc_column_text css=””]As a consulting engineering company, we are used to completing our tasks in an organised and structured manner. Tasks such as HAZOP studies<\/a> or other considerations in plant safety are the inspiration for a practised and consistent approach to the development of RAM analyses. Firstly, the plant is assessed and divided into structured areas. In the next step, the system is converted into a mathematical model.<\/p>\n

The mathematical assessment of the system is mainly based on statistical approaches and calculations, such as those used in SIL analyses<\/strong>. The necessary individual statistical data can be estimated from our own databases<\/strong>, from available manufacturer information<\/strong> and – if no specific, validated data can be found – based on experience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As consulting engineers with a wealth of practical experience, we are used to working between the poles of established facts, practical assumptions and a certain unpredictability of the project. We are skilled at thinking in the necessary level of detail, abstracting where necessary and skilfully drawing the right conclusions.<\/p>\n

With the help of a RAM analysis, important and cost-relevant issues are analysed and evaluated – with regard to a subsystem or an entire system. As a result, we receive an overall evaluation and assessment of the system under consideration. Critical individual components are identified and potential for optimisation becomes apparent.[\/vc_column_text]

In-line RAM analysis<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text css=””]The early and active integration of RAM analysis in the initial planning phase of a project opens up new design possibilities. This procedure can also be called in-line RAM analysis. By specifically analysing and evaluating the planning documents, we create a sound basis for decision-making at the earliest possible stage. In addition, this process enables early cost optimisation while constantly taking investment and operating costs into account.[\/vc_column_text]
